The aim of the project is to exemplify musical relationships between Austria and today's Czech Republic using the example of selected composers who either emigrated to Austria in the period from the 18th to the 20th century or worked in Austria for a longer period of time ( the so-called “Czech music migration”) or composers from Austria with a close musical or personal connection to the Czech Republic. The research activity is focused on the period of classicism (mid-18th to mid-19th century), since musicians from Bohemia and Moravia found particularly diverse opportunities for musical activities in Austria due to the historical framework of that time. In the sense of a process-oriented, applied research approach, the project aims to present the researched composers and their works in moderated concerts to a broader public. The concert repertoire of today should be enriched with chamber music from compositions that are rarely played today. The project includes the following activities: - Musicological source and archive research, selection and preparation of suitable compositions for performance and music education - Scientific lectures in Krems (AT), Brno and Telc (CZ) - Moderated concerts in Krems (AT), Brno and Telc (CZ)
